Goal = CWP

Today I convinced Monica that she needs to attend a concealed weapons permit class! I could not believe she said yes! We are now signed up for a class and well YES! If nothing else she will be educated about laws, rights, and guns. I married a Jones girl and that is shocking to me that she said yes about this type of request! She must just want to spend more time with me? Anyhow Christmas at the Howarth home will be Loaded!

My single ride experience!
Well last summer I had an experience at Yuba Lake with the family. Our family got a great campground site down at Yuba Lake the Painted Rock side where we could see the water from our campsite but this site was still bit far from the beach. We had some friends coming down to eat with us and then boat with us that evening. So let’s set the stage of my single ride experience. This was about 3ish in the afternoon and we just got done out on the lake boating with just our family and left the truck with boat trailer down parked adjacent to the ramp, and our boat was poorly tied up to a little rock on the rocky beach. We were taking a break up at the trailer when the wife ask me to go down and get the corn on the cob out of the back of the truck so that we could start making an early dinner. So like a good husband I do what she asks! But the kids asked to come down to the truck with me. So off we go down to the truck , this little walk was further than I thought and the sand was hotter that I anticipated. So when we made it down the thought of going back up did not look so good with the bags of corn, so I did have my keys with me I unlocked the truck started the truck and put my kids in the truck with AC on to cool the truck off but out of the corner of my eye I see my boat kind of pulled away from the beach and not looking beached enough for my likings. So off I go over the hot sand to re-beach the boat! Happy to reach water and kind of embarrassed from fishers next to my poorly parked boat I decided to just throw the anchor in and push out and use the motor to move the boat closer and to re-beach the boat. I did just that and everything was going as planed anchor check! Flip boat around to get in from rear with latter check! And a nice deep push off check! Hop in the boat and walk up to the wheel… well that is when my bad news hit me I am gliding out in my boat without a key! I no longer felt cool, I looked back at lots of people on the beach looking out at the guy in the poorly parked boat and my little kids in the truck which I could see have already started fighting! And me in this boat like an idiot with nothing but my swim shorts on! Several Ideas came to my head but 1st my pride was not going to let me get in the water and swim it back and I did not want to paddle back like a stupid key forgetting fat guy! So I am a Locksmith, starting the boat was my goal and fast without anyone noticing my situation! So I start looking around for what I could use as a pick and wrench. Nothing and I mean nothing standing there completely dumbfounded and looking a little lost when I finally look down, and what I see is two nice big toes with nice long toenails uncut like a lot of men! So I sit and bite off my toenails and now have two nice long chunks of nail. Bend one to pull the cylinder over with, and the longer one made a great pick. Within seconds my ignition turned and my dilemma was over! Now for those of you that know how locks work and find this a little hard to believe let me tell you this boat had an Y11 ignition with basically the easiest cylinder to pick known to man! And I knew that before I started looking for picks! I would like all to know I am a clean foot person just ask my wife!

1st blog of our family!

The Howarth Family

So after years of no interest of bloging we now came to the realization that our family’s activities need to be kept for years to come if not for us for our kids and extended family and friends! Hope we get better as we go!
